HoliDAYS Day 4 with rukristin papercrafts.

Today I want to share with you one of our Butterflies new digital printables. I think they are just FABULOUS, and count even wait for her to finish putting them in the shop before I had to have them ;] She has two new sets, and you can purchase them  here.  And we also have some inspiration for you, so that you can use them on your own projects this holiday season!

Kristin used them in here December Daily:

&& I used to make them a non Christmasy holiday card, because I love sending out cards to my friends who don't celebrate too ;]

I am so excited to continue using these sets throughout my DD & project life-- those bright numerical cards are right up my style, LOVE them! If you'd like a chance at winning one of these two sets, play along below-- winner will be announced on Wednesday, December 12th, you'll have until then to get your chances in! xoxo a Rafflecopter giveaway

HoliDAYS Day 2 with Jenny.

Welcome to Day 2 of our SMB HoliDAYS celebration!

Today Jenny is bringing us a wonderful idea on how to save a little bit of money, but still get a TON of supplies together in order to partake in a holiday mini album/December Daily and have a bit of fun while we're at it! Here's what she has for us:

I met Trisha through Studio Calico / Twitter and while talk of the Holidays and December Daily we thought it would be cool to swap papers and embellishments to use for our December Daily Books. I did not have many Christmas type of products so this was a perfect solution. Along with a fellow scrapper we decided what size books we were going to create. The swaps were a success so we decided to do it again this year. Here are some peeks of the types of things I included in her package:

I also stamped out different basic images I thought she could use. I found blank chipboard deers at Michael's and they had to be covered in glitter! I also created the circles. They are Flocked with stars and little words.

Here we decided to split whole packages of Wood Veneer trees & snowflakes and Mistable trees & snowflakes. She will be sending half of wood Veneer Snowflakes and Mistable Snowflakes.

She is creating a 4x6 album so I tried to cut down a variety of papers including Glitter Cardstock, Canvas, and Cork.

Overall this is a great way to add variety to your December Daily without spending a lot of money and getting to use up product. I hope you will find a buddy and try it out next year!

I LOVE this idea! So much in fact, that when she told me about her HoliDAYS post, I just HAD to find a partner & do a swap too-- can't wait to see what goodies I get from insta & SC friend, Danielle. LOVE the idea of trading a few stash items & splitting up fun finds, what couldn't be MORE perfect about this holiday swap??

SMB 12 HoliDAYS: Day 1 with Shay

How about 12 Days of extra Social [Media] Butterflies holiday inspiration??? I just LOVE the holiday season, and I know all of you paper-crafters out there do too. Not only do we have our layouts, cards & mini books, but during this time of year a lot of us go out of our way to do a few projects around the house to decorate with our skills ;] For the next 12 days, our Butterflies are going to share with you some tips, tricks & ideas to help you get started and finish up some of those projects!

For today, I will be sharing my December mini book.
Yes, I am doing a December Daily. Yes, I like to take on a lot of projects at one time, but as a few of you know, I have plenty enough holiday goods this year from all the amazinnnnng DD kits out there, so why not? I was SO incredibly inspired by Annette Hearing, and her notebook that I immediately went out in search of doing my own version. I didn't take the 31 Lists class, but I LOVED seeing it pop up all over the blogs and on instagram, so when Annette posted her prompts and ideas for this December project, I was all over it! She was wonderful enough to share the prompts on her blog for FREE, and I cannot wait to get started tomorrow. Here's what I have prepped to use:

ALL of these items I picked up at Target-- part of the AC Merrymint collection that I am absolutely in LOVE with. The designs are just perfect for a journal I see as Caleb's!

I also love the polaroid a day look she's picked, so I am letting the pictures be instax pics by Caleb, so it'll be like his OWN mini DD ;] So even if you aren't  planning on doing a December Daily, consider doing something like this. The best part is, it fits RIGHT into my DD, so for me they'll go together, and will be really fun to pull out & look at in the future!!

&& because I LOVE to share goodies, especially during the holiday season, I want to start off the 12 SMB HoliDAYs with a giveaway ;] How about a giftbox with some of my favorite holiday goodies that I have in my new shop?? You'll have until the 12th to get all of your entries in, and that's just on THIS post, I know plenty of the girls will have other giveaways & fun things going on all 12 days, so make sure you check back often!!! a Rafflecopter giveaway

November Color Challenge.

Back again with our monthly color challenge, to inspire you to be thankful this month! You will have an entire month to get projects done & add them to our linky party, and we will pick ONE lucky crafter to join one of our Butterflies in hosting the next months challenge! Angel is here to get the party started with this color combo & card, for a bit of fall inspiration:

About this card:
Whenever I think of fall colors, I instantly think of autumn leaves. The silk leaves I used on my card were my starting point. It's really easy to pull the plastic stems off of silk leaves and flowers, and it's an inexpensive way to boost your stash of seasonal flora. From there, I pulled together things from various Studio Calico kits from the past year: Swiss dot cardstock, button, twine, hemp, ribbon, and letter stickers. Of course, I seem to love those little adhesive gems, as I am always very generous with them. They are probably my go-to embellishment. The sentiment was easy for me, as I made this card on my sister's birthday and I was thinking of her. Enjoy the challenge!

For more of Angel's work, check out here blog, Kindle Lover here.

To join in with this month's color challenge inspired by her card, use these colors on a layout, card or project and link up with us, and YOU could be who inspires us next month! Entries must be entered by November 30th.
